Ms. Dura was born in Fargo, ND and moved out to California to go to college when she was 18. She received her B.A. from California State University Dominguez Hills in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Special Education. She decided to continue her education at CSUDH, and is currently working on her teaching credential. She has been working at Alliance College-Ready High School 16 for 3 years.

When Ms. Dura is not teaching or going to class, she is spending time with her dogs, Chewy and Obi. She also loves baking, cooking, and trying out new restaurants around Los Angeles with her fiancé.

Ms. Dura is deeply committed to providing a inclusive and nurturing environment for all students at CRAHS#16. She wants students to grow into their own learning styles to become confident scholars in their high school careers and beyond.
